Frank McNamara -MA GOP Chair Candidate interviewed by Jeff Katz

November 29, 2011 in Uncategorized

When an architect designs a new building, its foundation is critical to bearing the intended load of the final structure. A poorly designed building foundation may crack, deform or in the worst case, collapse under the weight of its final design load. In this analogy the MAGOP State Chair is the architect and the building represents the members of the MAGOP. If we hire an incompetent architect, we may soon see the final collapse of the MAGOP. With its collapse go the final hope of ever turning this corrupt [Three House Speakers in a row indicted and convicted] one party state around. Therefore, we ask that you listen to Jeff Katz’s interview and ask yourself why Bob Maginn will not answer questions about his $2400 donation to Far Left and Republican denigrator Senator Chuck Schumer.  Whatever  your view, please make it known to your two State Committeemen who are your electors at tomorrow evenings election at the Newton Marriot.

Barney Frank Announces He Will Retire at End of Term

November 28, 2011 in Uncategorized

Longtime Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., announced Monday he is not seeking re-election, saying that
redistricting has made it too strenuous to continue to campaign.

The 16-term lawmaker, whose name is emblazoned on the
banking reform law that passed Congress last year, had long been rumored to be
ready for retirement. He said Monday that he actually decided “tentatively” to
retire after passage of the law, serving out one more term, but when Republicans
won the 2010 midterm he decided he didn’t want to be a lame duck so didn’t
announce his plans until now.

Frank said he now wants to do some combination of writing, teaching and lecturing, but will not become a lobbyist.

One of the best parts of retiring is “I don’t have to pretend to be nice to people I don’t like,” he said, adding that he will continue to be an advocate of public policy, for instance, on gay rights issues and debating the Defense of Marriage Act against opponents like former House Speaker and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich.

Feeling more unleashed than usual, Frank also said he found it striking that so many Republicans would consider Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, as their nominee since he flip-flops.

“He would be the best thing to happen to the Democratic Party since Barry Goldwater,” Frank said.

Frank was previously chairman of the House Financial Services Committee but is now ranking member since Democrats lost the majority in the 2010 midterm election. The Dodd-Frank law, a contentious set of provisions that Republicans say add layers of regulatory burdens without preventing potential future meltdowns, was made in response to the near collapse of the banking industry in 2008. Among other actions, it created a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to oversee access to banking products and required listing ratios of executive pay to median employee salaries.

Media Bias or a Concerted Effort to Deceive – The UC Berkley Media Swindle

November 27, 2011 in Uncategorized

Folks, Get ready for the largest propagandas push in the history of our nation. Almost all of our local and national, mostly Socialist, media outlets are already setting the stage for the 2012 elections. Not only will they reinforce propaganda emanating from friendly government sources but they will also creatively add their own misinformation. They will also gang together to denigrate institutions like our police and military by casting them as villains. Now is the time that you need to fulfill President Ronald Regan’s admonishment, “Trust but verify.”

What follows is just one  example of the media’s attempt to misrepresent the facts on an “… entire confrontation with the police [that] was staged for the benefit of the media, …”

Rather than being victims of police brutality, a new video shows that Occupiers at UC Davis knew they were going to be pepper sprayed and didn’t mind it. Indeed, the new video evidence indicates that the entire confrontation with the police was staged for the benefit of the media, which took the bait and ran with it, making police out to be cruel and heartless villains. The new video evidence demonstrates that the police had not only warned the protesters in advance about what was going to happen but one demonstrator says to the police, “You’re shooting us?” and, after getting an affirmative answer, replies, “That’s fine.” Another tells her comrades, “Keep your eyes closed.” Several are seen covering their faces.

On his NBC Nightly News broadcast, NBC’s Brian Williams had called the lawbreakers “kids” and implied that parents should be outraged over their treatment. There is no evidence, however, that these “kids” being sprayed on the sidewalk were all students. Chancellor Katehi said in a statement that non-students had been active on campus and part of the protests. Indeed, these non-students were undoubtedly the organizers of the affair.

Massachusetts Republican Assembly Hosts GOP Chair Debate:  Event Sparks Clear Battle Between Conservative Base and Establishment Regulars.

While McNamara Taps Former Candidate Kamal Jain To Head “Financial Transparency Committee” — Maginn Resorts To Funding Threatened State Committee Seats For Vote; Conservative Base Rejects Business As Usual From GOP

Worcester, MA. November 13, 2011:  The Massachusetts Republican Assembly struck a nerve with upper echelons of the Party following Sunday’s GOP Chair debate in Worcester. What started as a vibrant surge of interest in the vacated Chairmanship culminated with two candidates in attendance. Moderator Bill McCarthy (MARA member and State Committeeman) first introduced former candidate for State Auditor, Kamal Jain, who briefly spoke on matters of financial transparency & in-state resources and concluded by formally stepping down, throwing full support to McNamara.

Since Maginn declined to attend, this left Frank McNamara alone to weather the barrage of questions from the four MARA panelists. However, it was a question from the capacity audience regarding Maginn’s $2400 donation to ultra-liberal, Chuck Schumer, that captured the crowd’s emotion and post-debate conversations.

I cannot conceive of any set of circumstance under which I would contribute $2400 to Chuck Schumer!”Frank McNamara, GOP Chair Candidate

When pressed by Assembly panelists on the classic conservative ideals that dominate the group’s interests, McNamara seamlessly navigated questions with prompt unscripted replies that resonated with debate-goers. The mood of voters can best be illustrated in the results of the Straw Poll which yield a single vote for Maginn and remaining votes soundly in favor of Frank McNamara for the next Massachusetts GOP Chairmen. “The results of the Straw Poll clearly indicates that voters are looking for a profound shift away from the Status Quo,” said Steve Aylward, Vice President of the Massachusetts Republican Assembly.

GOP Machine Reacts to Conservative Push

Merely days after the Worcester event, the differences between the two remaining candidates couldn’t be more obvious. In a leaked email sent to State Committee members only hours before the scheduled candidate reception AND State Committee meeting, Maginn, referring to Committee members facing a challenge in the March election said, “Our team will give you support as one of my key early supporters. Also wanted to let you know I’m looking in to setting up a separate fundraising entity that will provide funding to support State Committee member elections.” Some are calling it a flat out bribe and others say it’s just business as usual, but either way, under represented conservatives are not happy.

“As town committees struggle to find the resources to put up websites & get the word out about what they are doing – on the streets, where it counts – it’s a little hard to read that email.” – Kim

The extent of GOP angst circulated quickly as word of ostracized groups bubbles to the surface. Establishment resistance became clear to conservative activists when the Republican Assembly and Massachusetts’ Tea Parties were named in correspondence from State President of the National Federation of Republican Women. “Make sure they take a look at the Massachusetts Republican Assemblies, as they are causing a huge amount of trouble in this state along with the Tea Parties. They are causing trouble with the MAGOP…” – Celeste Wilson

The winds of profound change are blowing through the Commonwealth as battle lines are drawn between under represented small town conservatives seeking acknowledgment of their values and Party insiders that promise the Status Quo.

In a memo dated 11/19, State Committeeman and NFRA Northeast Regional Coordinator, Mike Potaski, urged interim Chairwoman Kangus to avoid utilizing voting procedures that would compromise the secret ballot and allow for “intimidation” of committee members through precise identification of individual votes. Assembly & Tea Party members pledge to be out in force, on the night of the election, to evaluate election integrity.

The Republican Assemblies is the nation’s oldest Republican advocacy group with State Chapters located across the country. Our goal is to bring classic conservative ideals back to the Party platform and offer the conservative base a set of resources for local Republican advancement. We are known as:

The Republican Wing of the Republican party

Announced Republican Party Chair Candidates – and editor’s notes:

Frank McNamara

Endorsed by Republican Legislators, especially the new ones, who were NOT supported by the old-guard Republican elites. These folks are winners, looking for a winner to re-ignite the party.

(Meanwhile, the old-guard who have driven the Republican party to the brink of obscurity in Mass. are lining up to support Bob Maginn. Their # 1 reason: he can raise funds. They forget, however, that 98% of all MassGOP spending in the past three election cycles have been squandered on overhead, parties, top-ticket media buys for failed gov. attempts, SENDING MONEY up to N.H. for the Romney race, etc. Sure, they’ve raised a lot of dough, but spent less than 2% of it on local state rep and state senate races…and the results show…see complete listing below.)

Bob “Vote For Me and I Will Buy You Things – Including Re-Election” Maginn

Supported by the old-school Republican Legislators who have driven the Republican party to the brink of obscurity (11% enrollment) and squandered 98% of fundraising the past three election cycles on overhead and losing campaigns, while virtually ignoring down-ticket, local rep races).

But wait, it gets betters. Mr. Maginn is a multi-millionnaire who is used to spending his money and getting his way. And anyone who has questioned his expenditures (in the blogs) are getting slammed and called “dividers”. Very Obama-like.

Maginn Provides $$$ to Radical Democrat – claims it’s ‘just part of doing business’

In the last election cycle, Robert A. Maginn donated $2400 to RADICAL DEMOCRAT Senator Chuck Schumer. In the 2010 Senate race Schumer beat Republican Jay Townsend. Schumer received $17,302,006 for that race. Townsend a paltry $197,365.

Maginn’s excuse: It was just business. (He’s claiming a special status as a businessman, even telling folks on his website that unlike THEM, he’s donated more than $1 million to political candidates…including $25,000 to another former Bain Capital guy, Mitt Romney, for which Maginn was later fined for not filing proper disclosure with OCPF.)

It gets better: THE PHONEY STATEMENT:
Maginn’s Statement on his website:
“Endorsed by the following candidates previously running for MassGOP Chair:

  • Peter Blute
  • Karyn Polito
  • Brent Andersen
  • Jon Golnik
  • Kaitlyn Greeley
  • Vincent Cogliano”

DEFINITION OF A LIE:
Distoring and not telling the truth.

LIE EXPOSED:
NOT ONE OF THOSE LISTED EVER ANNOUNCED THAT HE OR SHE WAS RUNNING FOR CHAIR.
Indeed, each was mentioned in the blogs as potentials (or Greeley, who self-promoted herself with no chance at all in an attempt to grab name-recognition), but NONE notified the state committee members!!! It’s all a BIG LIE.
Might as well add George Bush, Mitt Romney, and Ronald Reagan as “previously running”. And add in Mickey Mouse, and Chuck Berry.

So, the Republican Maginn begins his campaign with a LIE. More of the same from the party leadership that has driven the Republicans to 11% voter registration in Ma. (a.k.a., the brink of obscurity)

He also told Rep. Frost he asked to have the date of the MARA debate changed. LIE! He never contacted MARA.

Before that, he told SC member Potaski he was never invited. LIE.

I’d call him pathological, but I’m not sure of the spelling. Or perhaps it’s just more dirt from those who are trying to ‘protect him’. Meanwhile, the guy is spending and spending money buying drinks and dinners for SC members to get votes. Hmm, BUYING DRINKS AND DINNERS FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS IN AN ATTEMPT TO INFLUENCE THEIR VOTES….sounds so old-school, it should work!

And, there’s more!!! This guy is taking NOTHING for granted, he’s gone so far as to issue the following open promise of $$, exposure, and the good life for anyone who votes for him. So, step up, sign on, and be happy!

Subject: To My Supporters

After calling all of the State Committee members and hosting five regional dinners, I have reached 66 members to date in person or by phone. The result is a strong majority of the State Committee is now committed to vote for me on November 30th and we can only identify a handful of votes that will go against me. After my reception and the State Committee meeting tonight we need to confirm that all of our committed and strong leaning State Committee members will attend on November 30th. We cannot take anything for granted after all of this work and effort by each of you and many others. We need to Get Out The Vote (GOTV) on November 30th.I would also like to begin promoting members of the State Committee to help in our planned online outreach where each State Committee member who wants to have a website gets one. And each State Committee member who wants to put up a video statement about themselves and the work they are doing can do so. For each of you who will attend tonight we will have a video camera available if you want to record a statement to put up on the web. This will be most important for any of you who are opposed in your race in March. Our team will give you support as one of my key early supporters. Also wanted to let you know I’m looking in to setting up a separate fundraising entity that will provide funding to support State Committee member elections. So thank you for all you have done and please join me if you are coming tonight for my reception starting as early as 4pm for those who will be in Newton early, and continuing until the meeting starts at 7pm.

Best to you,
Bob Maginn

OLD GUARD ELITE REPUBLICANS have been falling over themselves to endorse Maginn. We’ll post some of the letters as we receive them so you can see how the people responsible for the FAILURE of the Republican Party in Mass. now want to keep the same tactics, the same approach going, with another clone. Reminds us of the definition of insanity.
