CBO Says Budget Deal Will Cut Spending by Only $352 Million This Year
According to the office of Management and Budget (OMB) our total 2010 Budget spending was officially $3.465Trillion. During the 2010 Campaigns, the Republican Party continually pledged to cut $100 Billion from the 2010 Budget. The pledge resonated with voters and they accordingly gave the House of Representatives back to Republicans.
The math goes like this:
The official 2011 OMB projection is $ 3.819 Trillion
The 2010 Budget minus $100Billion = $3.465 Trillion-$100Billlion = $3.365Trillion
The 2011 Budget minus the 2010 Budget less $100B=
$3.819 Trillion – $3.365 Trillion = +$454Billion or a
$454 Billion Increase
So where did Speaker Boehner get the Largest Budget Cut in our Government’s History?
They say figures don’t lie but liars figure!
He arrived at the deception, by taking the President’s deceptive Budget INCREASE of $454 Billion in the 2011 Budget and using it as a NEW BASELINE.
He then cut the $454Billion dollar 2011 Budget increse by $38.5 Billion! But wait, the OMB says that the $38.5 Billion cut is actually only a $352Million dollar cut for this year.In other words pocket change.
Yes, President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Speaker Boehner and Harry Reid have one major trait in COMMON and it is called DECEPTION.
